Privacy policy

closet is made by Good Enough Labs ("we"). This policy covers the closet app for iOS and Android and the servers it talks to. The short version: we keep what the app needs to work, we don't sell it, we don't show ads, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

What we collect

• An account. The app creates an anonymous account the first time you open it. If you choose to save your closet with Apple or Google, we receive the account identifier, name and email address that Apple or Google shares with us (Apple may give us a private relay address).
• Photos of your clothes. The photos you add, the cut-out version with the background removed, and the tags we generate (name, category, colors, season and how formal a piece is). You can edit or delete any of them.
• Onboarding answers. How much of your closet you wear and what you dress for most. We use them to pick occasions and suggest looks.
• Try-on inputs. The model figure you choose, or a full-body photo if you add one, and the try-on images we generate from it.
• Looks and plans. The looks you save, the days you plan them for, and how many style suggestions and try-on credits you've used.
• Subscription status. If you subscribe, Apple or Google tells us the product, its expiry and a transaction identifier. We never see your card or payment details.

The gallery scan stays on your phone

During setup you can let closet look through your recent photos for outfits you've worn. This is optional and only runs with your permission. You take a selfie, and the app compares faces in your recent photos with it on your phone, using the operating system's face detection and an on-device model. The selfie and the face data never leave your phone and are discarded when the scan ends. Only the photos where you appear wearing an outfit are uploaded, so we can find the pieces in them and add those pieces to your closet. You can delete any of them afterwards.

Who processes it

We use a few providers to run the app. Each one gets only what its job needs.

• Cloudflare hosts our servers, database and file storage.
• fal.ai runs the AI features: removing backgrounds, tagging pieces, finding garments in scanned photos, suggesting looks and generating try-on images. Some of these use models from Google (Gemini) through fal.ai.
• Google or OpenAI may generate try-on images directly, if we switch the try-on to one of their image models.
• Superwall shows the subscription screens. It receives an anonymous user identifier, basic device information, which screens you saw and your two onboarding answers, so we can show you the right offer.
• Apple and Google handle sign-in and payments under their own privacy policies.

We don't sell your data, share it for advertising or use your photos to train our own models. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting a piece, look or plan removes it right away. Deleting your account (settings → delete account) removes your profile, pieces, looks, plans, try-ons and every stored photo from our servers. Providers may keep request logs for a short time under their own policies. Photos are served through links that expire after an hour.

If you never save your closet with Apple or Google, your anonymous account lives only in that installation of the app. Deleting the app loses access to it, and the data stays on our servers until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account and all your data from inside the app, at any time.
• Deny or revoke photo library access; you can still add pieces with the camera.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by writing tohi@goodenoughlabs.com. We answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, Brazil or California), you may have more rights under local law. Write to us and we'll honor them.

Children

closet is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app.
